Abstract

Version 1.1. Twenty-seven instruments, three levels of government, read in full and coded. Nineteen retrieved 14 September 2026 (v1.0); eight federal instruments added 9 October 2026 (v1.1).

Every document that a Swiss public body has published in order to govern its own use of artificial intelligence, as far as these could be traced: federal guidelines, strategies, legal reports, checklists and staff notices, the federal inventory of AI projects, cantonal and municipal directives, and the positions of the data protection authorities. Each was read in its entirety.
