RoomPulse: Live Polling for Talks and Lectures

Spitale G. (2026) borant.eu [software]

Abstract

Mentimeter-style live polling built for keynotes and teaching, with a focus on argumentative and ethical questions. Eleven slide types — multiple choice, scales, quadrant, ranking, word cloud, open text, Q&A, claim + justification, random groups and a donut energizer game — plus quiz mode, pre/post shift, and AI clustering of free-text answers. The audience joins from any phone with a code or QR — no app, no login. An MCP surface lets an AI assistant compose a deck and read back what the room answered — including the live pulse of the session — from inside the conversation where the questions were invented; it deliberately cannot open, close or reveal a vote, which stays at the presenter's screen. Trilingual EN/IT/DE.

Who it is for: A lecturer with a room in front of them. The room joins with a code, on their own phones.
