I une 2 tracking systems. One uses my variometer and works only when I am flying; the other uses a sat-based locator.
This stuff tracks my vario; if I’m flying within reach of an OGN station this will be very accurate and close to real time. Else, it displays my last flight within reach of an OGN station.
This is my Garmin Inreach tracking. It’s active when I am further away from civilization. Being GPS based it’s updated every 10 minutes – so if I don’t move I am not dead (likely). If the iframe doesn’t work on your device, here’s a direct link.
